Post subject: Collecting Wild Oak in California
PostPosted: Wed May 26, 2010 3:35 pm
Hi. I recently found a stunted Oak on my friends property in Corona CA. It is about 3' tall and has a 6" trunk at the base. It has rooted in gravel and loose rock. It looks like an awesome bonsai candidate. Please advise on what tools I need and what steps I need to take to successfuly pot this tree in a big nursery pot so it can recover with minimal die back. This tree is so perfect and calling my name. It's in the way of a future landscaping project so it has to go. Thanks for all your help
