The Art of Bonsai Project

Dear All,

A very sad news..Mr. H. Ismail Saleh SH (1926 - 2008 /82 years old) has passed away on 21st. October at 22.30 pm in hospital in Jakarta due to brain tumor.
The funeral was taken place on 22nd. in his family cemetery in his home town, Cirebon, West Java.

We was the founder of ASPAC, initiator of ABFF (Asia-Pacific Bonsai Friendship Federation), Patron of Indonesian bonsai and had been dedicating his whole life to promote the spirit of "World Peace and Friendship Through Bonsai" along with Saburo Kato's "Bonsai no Kokoro".
We have lost two great masters, teachers in our bonsai world this year...

Rest in peace Mr. Saleh, we are all missing you so much !

This was his historical bonsai displayed in the 1991 ASPAC in Bali.
Few years ago I found it almost died in the corner of a friend's garden without being taken care of; then I got his permission to take care and re-styled...

...and it's now in my collection.
