Hi All,

I have to put together a presentation (talk to overhead projector) on cascade and semi-cascade bonsai styles. I have some material to work from, but I am looking for any good information on these styles and the practicalities of growing them.

I think I have the basics covered like the emulation of trees that are growing on cliffs, growing out from overhangs, weighted down by snow, avoiding harsh winds and moved by landslides. Styling like dragons and waterfalls, and using material that will not weaken in cascade form.

What I am really looking for is a few good photographs some video or some "killer tips", bits of practical information that one learns from experience. Something to move the talk from a repeat of a bunch of books to something a bit more interesting.

Does anyone have anything they feel may be useful?

Finally, I would like to find something on the difference between Chinese and Japanese styled trees, the background to their styling and their presentation.

May I just stress that this talk is to be presented at a bonsai kai meeting and is not being done for any form of commercial gain. Any contributions, factual or photographic will be fully recognised.

Thanks,

Andrew
