It's been a while since I've posted anything; here's an informal shot of a recent accent plant, our local native ground cover dogwood Cornus canadensis in a Horst pot. Some years these turn a beautiful deep red in winter; hasn't happened yet this year and the record cold we've had the last few weeks may spell the end for this one.
Just for fun, I've also attached a picture of the plant in its native habitat, here growing on a nurse log alongside some hemlock seedlings.
